Join Lamp in the United Way Homewalk This Saturday, Nov. 19th!
Lamp Community is sponsoring a team for the United Way Homewalk this Saturday, Nov. 19th, and
we’d love for you to join us!
The Homewalk is part of United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ annual 5K Run/Walk to End Homelessness. Homelessness is a solvable problem — if we work together. And each year thousands of people join the walk to raise money and awareness about what we can do.
Over the past four years, HomeWalk has mobilized 18,000 walkers, raised $1.7 million and funded organizations that have moved 9,000 people into permanent housing. All proceeds go directly back to the community, supporting permanent solutions to end homelessness for chronically homeless people, veterans and families.
To join Lamp Community’s Homewalk team:
- Log on to www.homewalkla.org.
- When you register, be sure to note that you want to join an existing team — choose Lamp Community from the list.
- Fill in your information and use the partner code UWpartner11. Use this code when joining the Lamp team and the fee for participation is waived.
Then come out and walk with us!
